Kevin Rodgers aka “Karp” was born and raised in Chicago where his career of 24 years as an acoustic sound and architectural design specialist initially began as a carpenter designing sets for movies, music videos and theaters, building exhibits for trade shows and hand crafting heirloom quality custom furniture. After attending architectural design school and working many years in multiple construction trades, thus gaining a well-rounded, keen skill set into designing and building spaces, Karp launched his acoustic and architectural design firm Karp Designs.

Karp and his firm design recording studios, home and commercial theaters and acoustic design plans and implementations for churches and large business spaces. Karp has had the good fortune to work with and build personal recording studios for multiple Grammy winning mixers, producers, engineers and artists and has recently been featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Karp’s design philosophy merges his acoustic knowledge with his carpentry craftsmanship to create unparalleled acoustically designed, gorgeous spaces intended to inspire the producers, engineers and artists who use them.
