Sci-Fidelity Night: Bobby Conn I Univore I Byzantine Time Machine I Time Crash
Limited Capacity seats available

Travelers of time and space are hereby called upon to congregate in singularity for an evening of film and music celebrating all things sci-fi! The roll of our 20-sided dice is instructing you to teleport to The Hideout for the Martian funk of Bobby Conn, the multidimensional multimedia of Byzantine Time Machine, the Dr. Who inspired pop of Time Crash and an original CIMMfest exclusive Sci-Fi short from Univore. Univore, the absurdly creative media production duo of David Bachmann and Nicholas Flandro, are responsible for the viral “Champagne Taste” video and other absurdist original music, video, and written masterpieces composed on Chicago’s West Side. CIMMfest is ecstatic to premiere an original short film by the mysterious artists for the second straight year. This year we have “Specimen 318” about a fungal botanist who's been sent by the Celestial Medicine Corporation to a distant star system to find spore proteins capable of reigniting human procreation in the wake of an enormous environmental catastrophe.

Limited Capacity seats available

In an original collaboration, Tim Kinsella, Leroy Bach along with Melina Ausikaitis and Ben Boye uniquely perform the songs created for, and around prolific poet Marvin Tate's stories and melodies. Originally from Chicago, Willis Earl Beal is a mysterious, eccentric and soulful raw talent ie: the real deal. His animated short "Principles of a Protagonist" will be screened, as well as a deep listening performance art piece providing the audience with an exclusive release. In short: Willis Earl Beal is Nobody. His performance will not be a performance. The YEAH Babies are a quartet from Columbus, Ohio producing a compelling mix of trippy, quirky electronics and eccentric rhythms that are topped off with soulful vocals and melodies.

Beware! The Pop Apocolypse: Prince Rama I the Buttress I Ghost Gang
Limited Capacity seats available

Our world may have begun with a “Bang,” but will end with a “Pop!” This special music & movies event stars Prince Rama, the controversial Brooklyn band known for their hallucinatory mix of new age and new wave. In addition to a ceremonial live performance, Prince Rama will screen their short film “Never Forever,” in which sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson team up with visionary director Lily X. Wahrman for a ‘revalation-ary’ mix of disco and ritual. The evening will also feature the avant garde rap stylings of The Buttress and a screening of their psychedelic horror film “Ghost Gang.”
