CIMMfest

The Bridge is an ambitious cross-cultural project, half based in Chicago and half in France, that allows jazz and improvising musicians the opportunity to travel overseas to collaborate on special one-off performances. This special event includes Rob Mazurek, Mwata Bowden and Matt Lux from Chicago and Matthieu Sourisseau and Julien Desprez from France.

Chicago Improv Scene join the venerable Bay Area instigator and innovator
Larry Ochs tonight, exploring the mystery and majesty of spontaneous music
and avant-jazz in anticipation of the other-worldly opus "Rova Channeling
Coltrane," featuring the concert film “Electric Ascension,” blowing your
way in a CIMMfest screening at 5 PM on Saturday.
